Come and join our full day course built to boost clinical confidence of optometrists in their first 4 years of practice.

This full-day course is designed to help pre-registration optometrists prepare an build confidence ahead of their OSCE exam. Attendees will complete a full mock OSCE circuit, followed by the opportunity to reflect on their performance through one-to-one and group feedback sessions. Places on this course are allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
To qualify for an invitation, students must have worked their way onto STEP Gold by earning 150 credits on Bronze and 250 on Silver.
Anyone can join STEP at any point in their education, so if you would like to attend this course but are not yet on STEP, please go to the STEP News page to watch a video on how to join. We run this course 4 times a year, once for each OSCE sitting, so please book the date that best suits you!

In partnership with ABDO, we will help Contact Lens Opticians (CLOs) take a deep dive into the world of Presbyopia and Multifocal Contact Lens fitting (including Multifocal Torics). You'll take part in practical activities and simulated Multifocal contact lens fitting scenarios, as well as discover what drives patients on their contact lens fitting journey. There are 12 CPD points, including a CLO-accredited Peer Review.
Places are limited and provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Registering does not guarantee a place on this course, as there are limited places. You will be advised whether you have secured a place by 7th June 2026. There is no charge for this educational event, although you must make your own travel and accommodation arrangements as appropriate.
