A closer look at what sets these apart

Key Benefits

  • PUPIL OPTIMIZED DESIGN which tailors 100% of parameters by both age and refraction vs <2% for the leading competitor^^1
  • Hybrid Back Curve Technology combines an aspheric center to mimic the natural shape of the cornea with a spherical periphery to maintain centration over the pupil, helping to keep the optics in the right place and the right shape.1
  • HYDRACLEAR® PLUS embeds tear-like molecules (PVP) that mimic the mucin layer in the tear film and helps keep the tear film stable.5,6
  • Also available for spherical and astigmatic eyes

Eye-inspired designs

Pupil-optimized design for presbyopia

183 designs to match the presbyopic pupil size across the refractive error and age ranges.1
Tear-infused for hydration

HYDRACLEAR® PLUS Technology embeds a wetting agent that mimics mucins to help keep the tear film stable.5
Invisible Edge for comfort

ACUVUE® soft contact lenses have thin edges so that the eyelids glide over them as if nothing is there.7
UV Blocking for eye health

UV blocking in every lens to help protect eyes from transmission of harmful UV radiation.#^4

FOOTNOTES

§Compared to prior JJVC multifocal design, technology optimized for both the parameters of refractive error and add power for a multitude of viewing distances and light levels.
+ClinicalTrials.gov is a website maintained by the NIH. The 22 clinical studies evaluated subjective comfort as a primary or secondary endpoint for ACUVUE® OASYS Brand 2-week family contact lenses vs. competitors’ products. Review conducted as of April 30, 2023.
^^Compared to competitor's designs, technology optimized for both the parameters of refractive error and add power.
$Oxygen transmissibility measured via polarographic method at center of a -3.00D lens using boundary-corrected, edge-corrected Dk values. Units: (cm/sec) (ml O2/ml x mm Hg) at 35°C.

#Helps protect against transmission of harmful UV radiation to the cornea & into the eye
^WARNING: UV-absorbing contact lenses are NOT substitutes for protective eyewear such as UV-absorbing goggles or sunglasses because they do not completely cover the eye and surrounding area. You should continue to use UV-absorbing eyewear as directed. NOTE: Long-term exposure to UV radiation is one of the risk factors associated with cataracts. Exposure is based on a number of factors such as environmental conditions (altitude, geography, cloud cover) and personal factors (extent and nature of outdoor activities). UV-blocking contact lenses help provide protection against harmful UV radiation. However, clinical studies have not been done to demonstrate that wearing UV-blocking contact lenses reduces the risk of developing cataracts or other eye disorders. Consult your eye care practitioner for more information.
